Line of Business Control Officer
What does the Line of Business Control Officer do?
As the Line of Business Control Officer within Fiserv, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to the Chief Risk Officer and the Enterprise Risk & Controls organization in support of the pursuit and achievement of ERC's strategic objectives. This position will report to our EVP, Chief Risk Officer. The position can entail travel up to 25%, primarily domestically, but also internationally as necessary. This role is located in our Omaha, NE office.
To be successful in this role, you will be responsible to:
  • Provide alignment between the business and the risk framework, loss capture and other risk domains as appropriate.
  • Continuously liaise with the business and supporting functions to understand upcoming changes so impact across risk domains can be assessed.
  • Contribute to team coverage of engagements with Internal Audit, regulators, and other reviews by ensuring business is aware and prepared for the engagement.
  • Lead efforts for issues and corrective actions including root cause identification, issue intake, alignment of corrective action, verifying effective remediation and closure related activities.
  • Collaborate with the business and supporting functions on control design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Ensure appropriate connectivity and integration with other risk management teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, technology, and internal controls. Manage triggers of when an assessment should be performed (e.g., system change, external event).
  • Awareness and involvement in regulatory change control and alignment of related controls.
  • Contribute to governance routines and management reporting leveraging Risk ID, issue management and other sources.
  • Support the inventory of Business processes, internal testing, audit, regulatory engagement outputs and the integration with risk assessments being performed (coverage map).

Qualifications for consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree, with emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Management, Information Technology, or general business or equivalent field
  • 10+ years of Chief of Staff or supporting roles and/or industry experience
  • Organized, influential, strong client service attitude, and demonstrated success as a leader within a highly complex business and audit function
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking, project management, interpersonal, and communication (written, oral, and listening) skills
  • General understanding of global laws, regulations and standards governing technology and/or financial services industries
  • Technology acumen and aptitude
  • Experience with creating fresh perspectives, breakthrough ideas to create value
  • Computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.) and Teammate

Preferred qualifications for consideration:
  • Financial services experience, including working in highly regulated global environments
