Ramen Satto is looking for reliable full time line cook for our family owned and operated Ramen Shop. The position is Tuesday through Saturday; 10am to 2:30pm and 4:30pm to 8pm. Pay BOE and includes tips. Never required to work Sundays and Mondays, all major holidays and Christmas week off.. Candidate must be reliable, drug free, and have no facial piercings or tattoos above the neck.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
- Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced restaurant or food service establishment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Skills:
- Culinary skills: Proficient in various cooking techniques, such as sautéing, grilling, baking, etc.
- Food preparation: Ability to prepare ingredients, measure quantities accurately, and follow recipes.
- Food service: Experience in a restaurant or food service setting, providing excellent customer service.
- Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination.
- Restaurant kitchen: Familiarity with working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen environment.
- Meal preparation: Ability to efficiently prepare meals according to menu specifications.
- Cooking: Proficient in using various kitchen equipment and utensils, including knives.
- Food industry: Understanding of the operations and standards within the food industry.
