We are an orthopaedic surgery practice looking to hire a Medical Assistant preferably one with an X-ray license.
If applicant does not have an X-Ray license then this would strictly be a Medical Assistant position.
If applicant has an X-ray License this position would involve taking x-rays for orthopaedic patients as well as functioning as a back office Medical Assistant.
The majority of the time would be spent in our San Juan Capistrano office with one day per week at our Fountain Valley office. Other functions would be to assist patients with work notes and EDD claims as well as cross cover answering phones. This is an excellent opportunity for pre-health students looking to get experience prior to applying.
Qualifications:
-Prior Medical Assistant or scheduling experience is helpful
-Ability to work with insurance online portals
-Knowledge of the EPIC medical record system is highly desired.
Job Duties:
-Patient Intake and basic history inputting into Epic EMR software.
-X-ray machine operation and obtaining x-rays.
-Room setup and cleaning between patients.
-Obtain prior authorization for referrals.
-Assist in general phone calls and scheduling
-Our practice uses OKRs (objectives and key results) for structured goal setting. Ability to participate in OKRs is essential to this job.
Pay: $25 per hour if you have an X-Ray License $17 per hour if you do not have an X-Ray license.
Benefits: Health insurance after 90 days
Retirement benefits with employer contribution after 1 year.
