Position Type: Full-Time Status: Accepting Applications Details: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $38,230 - 48,276/yr Apply Now Job Description Under the general supervision of the Senior Lift Station Mechanic, or designee. Performs a wide range of manual labor and skilled work in the maintenance and repair in the operation, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the City's water and wastewater transmission systems in the Water/Wastewater Division of the Public Works Department.

Responsible for equipment and supplies needed for daily operations and maintenance. Duties are performed with independence. This position requires the employee to be on-call for emergencies.

Work is reviewed through observations and obtained results. Training & Experience QUALIFICATIONS - Graduation from high school; or GED One (1) year experience in the maintenance and repair of motors and equipment at the journeyman level in a water and/or wastewater transmission environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; Possession of a Level Three (3) Distribution System Operator's License, issued by the State of Florida required; Wastewater Collection System "C" Operator's License, issued by the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain within eighteen (18) months from the date of hire. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, with Tanker Endorsement.
