Lifeguard Tropic Falls, Part-Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure safe operation of waterslides, and water features by maintaining focus on slide area, Guests, and fellow lifeguards at all times.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Enforce and verbally communicate all safety rules and regulations of the water slides and features.
• Test and complete safety paperwork daily.
• Assist guests on the water slides and water features as necessary.
• Friendly and outgoing personality and interacting with Guests.
• Provide Guest Service according to company standards.
• Uphold and deliver all company and department values, policies, and procedures.
• Works to maintain a safe, efficient, and inclusive environment.
• Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies according to the Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
• Assists with the cleanliness of the waterpark.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Projects a positive image to Team Members and Guests.
• Obtain and maintain Ellis and Associates (E&A) Lifeguard Training Program certification (training to be provided once hired.)
• Keep certifications current through monthly in-service trainings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to perform and document proper inspections of attractions, slides, emergency equipment and other essential items.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to react well under stressful and emergency situations.
• Available and willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions including, extreme heat, cold and rain.
• Must be able to work in a humid, warm environment and be immersed in water for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs.

This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours for summer and peak times.
