Life Skills Support for Young Adults with Disabilities

Enigma ASD Services is a flexible support network that provides services needed in the Autism Community. Our primary goal is to help adults on the Autism Spectrum (or other neurdivergent adults or disabilities) develop independent Life Skills with a team of supports. We tailor specialized plans to meet the varying needs of each client in whichever areas are most important to them, whether that’s getting out of the house and into the community, being successful in college courses, self-advocating, working out, looking for jobs, getting along with roommates, or being involved in social groups or business groups. Enigma supports Young Adults while they navigate academic, social, and employment opportunities and need quality employees to help achieve this mission.

*As a Life Skills Coach, you could:

• Help to lead and run groups in various interest areas such as vending, technology, social activities, baking, etc.
• Work 1:1 with clients in the community to facilitate social interaction.
• Support academic organization and completion for college courses.
• Work on goal setting and follow through, depending on the client’s individual plans.
• Travel to various locations throughout King County to meet clients/groups

*Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the area of special education, psychology, sociology, social work, or other related field
• 1 year experience working with individuals who experience a developmental or intellectual disability
• Be reliable, responsible, respectful and empathetic towards clients and their families
• Strong communication skills and integrity with keeping appointments
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with Young Adults with varying strengths and needs
• Must successfully pass a background check and fingerprinting
• Have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle, willing to drive to clients in company van or personal vehicle

*Hours: Flexible times every day of the week, part time and full time hours available. We work with your strengths and preferred location to match to clients

*Pay Rate: $25-35/hr to start (depending on qualifications) plus mileage

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
