Here at Sequim Health & Rehabilitation Center, we are currently seeking a full-time Life Enrichment Assistant (LEA). The LEA is an essential team member who implements an ongoing program of group and individual leisure activities designed to meet the physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs and interests of each resident. These activities provide the opportunity for residents to engage in typical pursuits, as well as promoting a successful and well-balanced leisure lifestyle. The LEA works closely with the Life Enrichment Director and with staff in other departments to ensure that residents are assisted in reaching their highest possible level of independence. Prompt and accurate documentation in each resident's medical record is an essential job duty for the LEA.
The schedule for the FT assistant is as follows: Wednesday 11-7:30, Thursday 9-5:30, Friday 11-7:30, Saturday 9-5:30, Sunday 9-5:30 with Mondays and Tuesday OFF.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Flexible availability for work; shifts may include evenings and/or weekend days; current schedule for this position is Tuesday to Saturday
Basic computer skills and an aptitude to learn company applications
Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English
Positive attitude and ability to motivate residents to participate in leisure activities
Ability to work independently and structure daily schedule around department needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility
Understanding of the social, psychological, emotional, and recreational needs of older adults
Current driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to drive a 15 passenger bus (safety training will be provided)
