What We’re Seeking: DATCP’s Division of Food and Recreational Safety is recruiting for a License/Permit Program Associatein the Bureau of Food & Recreational Businesses.

Where We Are Located: This position is located at the Eau Claire State Office Building.

Telecommuting Option: This position may have the ability to telecommute up to 3 days per week! An approved telecommuting agreement is required before an employee may telecommute. Approval of the employee’s telecommuting agreement and work schedule will vary based on the operational needs of the Division. All DATCP employees who telecommute are required to live in Wisconsin.

Position Summary


This position assists in providing paraprofessional, administrative, and program support to the Food and Recreational Businesses Bureau. This position performs licensing support functions for food and/or recreational facility and personal licenses regulated by the Department. This position works directly with the public in the application and renewal process, and provides regulatory information as needed.

License/Permit Program Associate Full Description

Salary Information


The classification for this position is License/Permit Program Associate which is in schedule-range 02-11 with starting pay of $21.23 per hour. This position is not represented by a collective bargaining unit. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.

Job Details


DATCP does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the selected applicant being able to provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications


Minimally qualified candidates will have each of the following:

  • Experience utilizing computer database software applications to enter and monitor data, track deadlines and draft correspondence (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, etc.).
  • Experience in accurately processing and maintaining program/business records in an electronic file management system.
  • Experience serving as a technical resource providing customer service in an office based setting.


In addition, highly qualified candidates will have one or more of the following:

  • Experience working with rules, regulations, statues, administrative codes and laws with regulatory authority.
  • Experience working effectively with multiple tasks concurrently, ranking priorities, accepting delegation of work assignments and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience working with application processing or document review for completeness (i.e., permits, licenses, applications, contracts, etc.)
