Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse - Medical/Telemetry
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse specializing in Medical/Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a telemetry unit, utilizing their clinical expertise and dedication to improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
? Provide direct patient care in a Medical/Telemetry unit, monitoring vital signs, conducting assessments, and administering medications as prescribed.
? Perform various treatments and procedures, ensuring compliance with care plans and physician orders.
2. Telemetry Monitoring:
? Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, recognizing and promptly responding to changes in patient status.
? Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely intervention in case of abnormal telemetry readings or emergencies.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
? Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
? Generate comprehensive reports for the healthcare team and contribute to care planning discussions.
4. Patient Education and Support:
? Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
? Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
5. Collaboration and Teamwork:
? Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
? Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, contributing insights and updates on patient progress.
Qualifications:
? Active LVN license and in-depth knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
? Experience working in a Medical/Telemetry unit or similar acute care setting.
? Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
? Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Prior experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
? Additional certifications in telemetry or related specialties.
