Licensed Vocational Nurse (Lvn)

Universal Pain Management (www.universalpain.com), located in Valencia, CA is seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for our growing practice. Job requires paid travel with mileage reimbursement to other job sites when needed (Sherman Oaks and Palmdale). As part of the patient care team, the LVN provides professional nursing care to patients in the office setting, performing clinical and administrative tasks to support the work of physicians, nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals. As a member of the procedure team, the LVN works under the supervision of pain management physicians and anesthesiologists to prepare patients for procedures and assist with post-procedure care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited LVN school of nursing
• Current CA Vocational Nurse License
• Current IV Certification
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification

• Critical Thinking – Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Judgment and Decision-Making – Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• Confidentiality - Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

EXPERIENCE:

• Two years in a medical office practice.
• Experience starting IV’s.
• Preferred knowledge and experience prepping and assisting with procedures.
• We are willing to train the right person in the specialty of pain management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
