Works under the general supervision of Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network’s Program Director of Psychiatric Services and in conjunction with Klaras Center for Families nursing staff.

Hours: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, weekends, and holidays off
Salary: $19.00 Hourly/$31,520 Annual

**Certain Requirements Needed**
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
- Provide nursing services to children and adolescents in outpatient mental health clinic.
- Provide support to families receiving mental health services.
- Manage daily psychiatric clinic including filing medical records and coordinating medical care.
- Administer labs, weights, AIMS screenings, and other appropriate medical procedures in support of Center psychiatric appointments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Keep required Center training current and complete training necessary to maintain LVN licensure.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions
- Knowledge of behavioral health and treatment approached.
- Must have the ability to provide nursing services and support to Klaras Center for Families psychiatric clinic.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with consumers and colleagues. Good work habits and organizational skills.
- Must possess familiarity with computer operations. Must be dependable, reliable and demonstrate the ability to maintain consumer confidentiality; adhere to Center policies and procedures and other regulations relevant to job duties.
- Excellent written communication and computer skills for inputting clinical documentation
- Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers
- Time management and organizational skills
- Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and keyboarding for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to be CPR and PMAB certified
- Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required
- Current and unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred
