Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and assist with various medical procedures. Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy
- Provide patient education on medication administration, disease management, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
Requirements:
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in [STATE]
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Proficiency in medical documentation systems such as Cerner or similar electronic health record (EHR) software
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in pain management techniques and providing compassionate care to patients of all ages, including toddlers
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME), medical imaging procedures, and coding practices
- Ability to dialyze patients as needed
