As a Licensed Vet Tech / LVT, you are the right hand for our veterinarian! Organized and professional, you facilitate the intake process, accurately documenting information and updating medical histories. Your gentle, calming demeanor reassures clients and puts animals at ease. Using fear-free handling techniques, you collect blood, stool, and urine samples for diagnostic testing. An excellent communicator, you helpfully educate clients about disease prevention, behavioral issues, and general animal care.
You also play a vital role in surgical procedures, assisting the veterinarian by sterilizing instruments, prepping patients, and monitoring anesthesia. Post-surgery, you aid in the discharge process, explaining aftercare procedures and medication regimens as directed by the veterinarian. QUALIFICATIONS
LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician)
Associate degree
Valid VA driver's license
Willingness to travel

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A LICENSED VET TECH
This job has a schedule of Monday - Friday, part-time/full-time with no weekends and flexibility as to hours and day.
