Galt Ocean is seeking an experienced clinician for a full-time position for our PHP program.
Galt Ocean provides an individual treatment approach, subscribing to Dr. Bruce Alexander's philosophy that the opposite of addiction is not only sobriety but connection (Alexander, Bruce. The Globalization of Addiction, A study in Poverty of Spirit. Oxford University Press, NY, 2008).
Connection is achieved through community. Therefore, treatment planning and program-scheduled leisure activities focus on building a strong recovery community. Caseloads and process groups are small and provide an opportunity for profound clinical work.
Clinicians work in an environment with a pronounced infrastructure that supports clients' needs from case management to medical care, and developing life skills. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with clients from diverse backgrounds.
The clinical work entails collaboration within the treatment team, developing treatment and discharge plans, conducting individual, family, and group sessions, and completing clinical documentation in Kipu in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy from an accredited University
- Valid & Current LCSW, LMFT, LMHC license or Registered Intern
- Experience with EMR's - Kipu software experience, Required
- Proven clinical experience
- Strong documentation skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong leadership qualities
- Supervision for Registered clinical social worker interns
- Free CEU's
Work schedule: This is a FULL-TIME position, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am -4:30 pm, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required as client needs/clinical schedule dictates.
