Overview
The Licensed Program Expert provides clinical leadership to assigned implementing partner organizations (LifeSet, Intercept) in effectively implementing Youth Villages' licensed treatment models. The Licensed Program Expert will provide training and coaching of theory and application of Youth Villages' treatment models to partner organization teams with various professional backgrounds and who hold a variety of positions including clinicians, supervisor, and Program Directors.
The Licensed Program Expert will assist partner organizations in a variety of ways to ensure the success of the treatment program which may include a combination of: providing weekly telephone or face-to-face consultation, ongoing training to treatment teams, providing coaching and development of Licensed Program Expert in training, providing consultation and training to supervisors, participate in program model reviews, and coordinating clinical development of staff with partner supervisors and directors. The Expert is also responsible for facilitating weekly red flag calls, listening and evaluating group supervision for partner supervisors, and participating in implementing partner organization data review calls.
Responsibilities
This position will support our LifeSet Partner Operations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Conducts/oversees weekly clinical consultation for assigned implementing partner organizations.
• Contributes to enrollment and exit decisions as needed, reviewing initial pre-enrollment assessment to drive decision making.
• Facilitates weekly red flag meetings with implementing partner supervisor and program lead.
• Maintains policy, professional growth, and quality of service with the Clinical Services department.
• Works with IPO Supervisors in planning, leading, and carrying out an ongoing clinical training program for staff, including booster training and as-needed clinical training.
• Coordinate training including scheduling, preparation of materials and communication with teams regarding training logistics, and facilitating all activities required to successfully complete training and evaluation.
• Serve as a resource to supervisors and specialists for additional materials relevant to their training needs regarding research proven interventions.
• Works with the supervisor and implementing partner staff in matters pertaining to major critical events.
• Evaluates group supervision quality and provides training/development in this area as needed, in conjunction with the IPO program lead.
• Serves as Expert to specialists and supervisors in all areas of clinical service provision.
• Reviews specialist service plans and supervisor documentation and provides input into development and training in this area.
• Oversees clinical quality of services delivered in assigned regions/teams in conjunction with the Clinical Manager.
• Contributes to development plans and meetings with specialists (as needed) and supervisors on assigned teams.
• Works with IPO program staff in matters pertaining to adherence to Youth Villages LifeSet and Intercept program models to ensure fidelity.
• Collaborates with YV departments in implementation (e.g. Research Department, Performance Improvement Department, Business Planning Department) to ensure smooth roll out of programs across IPO's.
• Assists with 6-month and annual program model reviews for implementing partner organizations.
• Willingness to travel to conduct initial clinical training, quarterly booster trainings and other trainings as needed for each IPO served.
• Participates in special projects as requested by Clinical Manager and Managing Director of Partner Operations.
DEGREE OF SUPERVISION, INDEPENDENCE AND DISCRETION:
Clinical supervision and assistance will include a measure of training and oversight directed from Youth Villages Clinical Manager for Partner Operations.
This will be a remote based position.
Qualifications
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy is required
  • Experience as a specialist or supervisor
  • Licensure is required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
  • Experience as a specialist or supervisor is preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Clinical competence in family therapy, behavior therapy, and cognitive-behavior therapy
  • Familiarity with research literature on the causes, correlates, and treatment of delinquency and serious emotional disturbances desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and make effective public presentations. Prior experience teaching is preferable.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 45% of the time if indicated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must have at least six months of experience at Youth Villages
