We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will provide clinical counseling services to individuals with various behavioral health needs. You will play a crucial role in assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate their mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals with behavioral health concerns
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, such as art therapy, to assist patients in expressing themselves
- Offer support and guidance to individuals with PTSD and other trauma-related conditions
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities to address their unique mental health challenges
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Utilize behavior management strategies to help individuals improve their coping skills
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid license as a Professional Counselor in the state of Mississippi
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Experience in art therapy or other creative therapeutic approaches is preferred
- Familiarity with psychotherapy techniques and evidence-based interventions
- Ability to provide effective care for individuals with PTSD and trauma-related conditions
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
