- 64 hours biweekly with Benefits!
- EVERY Saturday and Sunday: 6:30AM-7:00PM (12-hour shifts)
- Includes One 8-Hour Shift per week from 2:30PM-11:00PM
- Every Other Holiday Required.:
The LPN:Licensed Practical Nurse for our Weekend Program assists the RN Nurse Manager, and/or RN Supervisor in ensuring that all nursing procedures are properly addressed and resident care issues are resolved according to MHC’s Mission and Philosophy of care. This position will be performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement and regulations.:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current PA license to practice as an LPN. (GPNs must be licensed within 12-14 weeks).
- Experience and/or training in a skilled nursing or retirement facility preferred.
- Basic computer skills needed. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.:
- Monitors peripheral IVs and indwelling catheters. Takes vital signs. Completes treatments and changes dressings. Orders, administers, and charts medications.
- Evaluates vital signs within parameters of medication monitoring PP and documents.
- Maintains assigned documentation including daily charting, physician visits, inputs and outputs, pharmacy requisitions, and resident weight. Follows bowel protocol.
- Monitors the skin condition of residents and implements appropriate procedures for skin tears and pressure ulcers.
- Responds to changes in a resident’s health such as skin issues and medication.
- Assists the RN Nurse Manager in overseeing Caregiver duties such as promoting skin care, monitoring use of restraints, maintaining resident positioning, and monitoring call bell response times.:
