UPMC Divine Mercy Womens Health in Carlisle is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to their team. Staff will rotate between Carlisle and Camp Hill offices. This office is an obstetric and gynecologic practice dedicated to providing compassionate, quality health care to all women. From natural family planning to menopause management, we offer expert medical care rooted in our values and vision.
We provide the following services:
- Gynecologic care for women of all ages including menopause management.
- NaProTechnology and fertility services.
- Natural family planning.
- Obstetric care, including a robust midwifery program and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) support.
- Postpartum care, including lactation consults and support for postpartum depression and anxiety.
HOURS: Monday-Friday various start times 7a-3:30p, 7:30a-4p, or 8a-4:30p. No weekends, no major holidays. This position could require the LPN to travel to Shippensburg or Harrisburg to provide occasional staffing coverage if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient’s general condition, take vital signs and weight.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Draw blood & collect lab work as ordered
- Give injections.
- Triage OB/GYN patients
Call patients with results
Complete prescription refills.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- One-year clinical experience preferred, but not required
- New LPN graduates welcome to apply
- Previous OBGYN experience a plus
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Clearances must be dated within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
