We are seeking a licensed LPN to join our growing telemedicine team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to patients by answering patient care questions submitted via email or through our secure patient portal in addition to entering prescriptions into online pharmacy portals for patients who have been approved by our doctors.
This is a 100% remote/work-from-home position and is great to pick up extra hours. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 hours available per day for this position, but the specific times of day worked may be flexible. Candidates should discuss their current work situations with us to determine if this will be a good fit. We have plenty of work available for the right candidate - let's see if we're a great fit to work together! Active LPN license is a firm requirement. All communication with our staff, providers and patients is electronic and secure. No phone communication will be expected, though you may utilize your own best judgement in situations where you feel it is warranted for better level of care. An understanding of and compliance with HIPAA is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Answer patient care questions via email and via secure online patient portal including, but not limited to: questions on reading their prescriptions, dosages, how to properly draw and inject medication and other questions that would fall under the scope of patient questions requiring licensure to legally answer.
- Educate and update patients on medical treatments.
- Entering prescription orders into secure online pharmacy portals once our doctors have approved and prescribed treatment for patients.
- Communicating with pharmacy staff regarding patient orders when necessary in order to answer patient questions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A firm understanding of how to read and understand prescription orders.
- Basic understanding of web technologies as our tools are all 100% secure and online.
