Quality Response Medical Staffin is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients. This is a contract position is in Lubbock Texas
Details about this position:
- 6-month contract (option to extend)
- Must be able to start ASAP
- Weekly Pay
- 2pm - 10pm shift ONLY
- Must be available for a minimum of 32 hours a week w/4 weekend shifts a month
LVN JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides complex vocational nursing work. Work involves providing for the care, treatment, and general welfare of patients. May supervise the work of others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and performs Nursing duties within the assigned areas and assigned shift. Performs basic and complex nursing tasks to fulfill the health needs of the most medically fragile individuals, including the collection of lab work and other health screenings.
Responsibilities:
- Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients
- Provide basic patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with registered nurses to administer prescribed medications
- Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment
- Educate and update patients on medical treatments
Qualifications:
- 1 year, but preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse
· Licensed to practice Nursing in Texas (LVN )
- Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.
