Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Far Rockaway, NY

Duration: 13 Week Contracts

Shift: Days, Evenings and Nights

Duties:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Monitor and record the vital signs of patients.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Perform tube feeding and catheterization procedures.
• Provide care for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist in the management of acute pain.
• Participate in discharge planning.

Experience:

• Must have a valid LPN license.
• 6 months - 2 years of LTC experience as an LPN Required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
• Knowledge of specimen collection and processing techniques.
• Ability to triage patient needs effectively.
• Experience in acute pain management is a plus.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes.

Requirements:

• Valid LPN license in New York.
• An active BLS (AHA) is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
