Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as wound care, dressing changes, and catheterizations
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations and gastric lavage
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
- Proficiency in administering injections and performing sterile processing techniques
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Familiarity with case management principles and coding practices
