A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a healthcare professional who plays a crucial role in patient care. LPNs work under the supervision of registered nurses or doctors to provide essential medical attention and support. Their responsibilities include:
- Patient Assessment and Documentation:
- Interviewing patients to gather their medical history and recording relevant information.
- Monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Observing patients’ health conditions and noting any changes.
- Basic Patient Care:
- Assisting patients with daily activities like eating, bathing, and mobility.
- Administering injections, prescribed medications, and enemas.
- Dressing wounds and providing other basic medical care tasks.
- Monitoring and Charting:
- Keeping accurate patient records and charts.
- Tracking fluid intake and output.
- Collecting samples for lab testing as assigned.
- Emotional and Psychological Support:
- Providing compassionate care and emotional support to patients.
- Communicating with patients’ families or friends to offer advice and comfort.
- Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Teamwork:
- Working effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Understanding hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Upholding confidentiality obligations and following nursing best practices.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role.
- Ability to perform diverse care tasks.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures.
- Familiarity with MS Office and data entry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to handle stress.
- Successful completion of an LPN license program.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
