SalaryChristwood Senior Living Community is seeking a full time LPN for day shift, 6 am to 6 pm, for our Health Center.
LPN assists in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment in accordance with resident needs and health center philosophy. Provides nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies. Assists with evaluation of the nursing process and provides input regarding needed or desired changes. Supervises daily functions of the nursing unit, from employee supervision to delivery of resident care. Assists in the training, supervision, and ongoing in-service education of nursing service personnel. Assists in the performance evaluation of nursing personnel. Maintains documentation which accurately and completely records data pertaining to the resident’s care, condition and treatment. Participates as a member in the interdisciplinary resident care conference in developing a total plan of care and in communicating that plan to nursing staff caring for the resident. Protects the resident, his privacy and his property. Attends in-service and continuing education programs to improve knowledge and skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Must possess a current Louisiana Practical Nurse License
- Training and Experience: Shall have previous health related experience, preferably in long-term care
