Duties
-Be able to pull vision insurance
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyewear based on their prescription and personal style preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses (Pupillary Distance and Seg Heights)
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements to meet their visual needs
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure optimal comfort and functionality
- Maintain inventory of eyewear frames, lenses, and accessories
- Process orders for new eyewear and contact lenses
- Keep the optical area clean and organized
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to THE EYEs and visual system
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in an optical or ophthalmology setting
- Familiarity with vital signs measurement techniques
- Proficient in optical terminology and understanding of lens prescriptions
- Basic understanding of retail math for pricing and discounts
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the optical area
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to effectively manage inventory and track sales trends
- Strong sales skills to promote products and services to customers
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
