We're looking to hire two Licensed Massage Therapists. Currently, we're trying to fill the need for evening and weekend therapists. We would love to have at least one therapist join our team who specializes in Light to Medium pressure and possibly an MLD therapist. We don't currently have any therapists who practice's Ashiatsu but we do have the set up for it.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to communicate with clients about the risks and benefits of massage.
- Be able to recognize and respond appropriately to a client's acute needs for medical evaluation.
- Be able to facilitate the client's needs for reimbursement of massage services from third party payors.
- Be able to massage clients from all age groups including children, adolescents, and older adults.
- Be able to effectively communicate with clients about the nature and expectations of their session; help them become relaxed with effective use of touch.
- Be able to help clients maintain their health through exercise and manual manipulation of soft tissue.
- Be able to use knowledge of anatomy and physiology, physiology of manual therapy and related pathologies to assess clients' physical conditions and provide appropriate care.
- Recognize when consultation with other health professionals is required.
- Must have malpractice insurance, CPR/First Aid certified, valid license or will be renewed shortly after interview.
We do have a receptionist that takes care of most other cleaning tasks around the clinic.
