- Must meet Targets/metrics (KPI’s)
- Process customer transactions, including (but not limited to) policy changes, cancellations, new applications, and claims.
- Provide expert knowledge of policies and coverages.
- Identify and analyze customer needs to ensure customer retention.
- Counsel customers on additional coverages/needs using upsell/cross sell techniques.
- You will Handle types of calls such as for existing customers for billing issues, changes to current policy, inquiries, claims, sales, etc. With the average call volume per day=40-50 calls and the average call handle time= 9-15 mins.
- Maintain accurate information in database.
- Capture lead information from customers interested in further coverage.
- Handle all customer inquiries in a friendly/professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must already have an active Life & Health Insurance License in resident state.
- Requires an active life and health insurance license in your resident state. NPN will need to be provided to the recruiter for proof prior to offer.
- Ability to become licensed in all 50 states.
- Your licenses must be up to date and the company is not responsible for any late fees or fines attached to your licenses. Any certifications that are due prior to your employment are at your cost and responsibility.
- CAPTIVE position, you can’t have any active open book of business in any lines of insurance while employed for Gerber Life Insurance.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Recent (within last 3 years) relevant experience.
- Prior Sales, call center, and/or customer service experience a plus
- Solid to advanced computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
- Must be comfortable navigating a new computer with dual monitors.
- Navigate multiple screens and programs, ability to confidently multitask (type and listen at the same time).
- Excellent listening skills.
- Strong Compliance Acumen.
- Ability to carry out clear directives in a fast-paced, high call volume atmosphere while following company procedures, including Targets/metrics (KPI’s)
- Ability to sit/stand and answer the telephone while using a computer for the duration of assigned shifts (regular breaks are included).
- Polite, professional, confident, friendly, and upbeat phone demeanor.
- Salary $35,000-42,000 Annually.
- Bonus Structure ranging from $800-$2,000. (with the bonus, you could potentially make earnings up to $66,000 annually)
- Training hours = M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm CST/ 8:30am-5:00pm EST.

- Strict attendance policy during training, PTO is not available during this time.
- Desk space for a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse provided by the company.
- A corded analog telephone with a dial pad and wired applicable headset (not USB as the headset will need to plug directly into your phone) is required for landline phone systems.
- Gerber recommends the Cortelco Model ITT-9125 Caller ID Corded Single Line Multi-Feature Telephone, but it is up to the applicant to provide a suitable phone and headset.
- Reliable, hardwired DSL, Cable, or FiOS Internet (WiFi and Satellite are not compatible).
- Must provide a dedicated phone line; Landline is preferred over VOIP line – No others in the household can use the line while you are on your shift.
- Internet speed requirements with a landline phone are a minimum of 3 Mbps download speed, and 1 Mbps upload speed.
- Internet with VOIP or Cable phone systems must have a download speed above 3 Mbps, upload speed above 6Mbps, and PING below 100 Ms.
- All VOIP phone providers must be approved by the client before moving forward.
