Job description

Primary Function:

As a Licensed Counselor Supervisor for MAT Services you will provide clinical supervision of counseling staff and clinical intervention and case management for clients at risk for or diagnosed with chemical dependency.

Scope of Work:

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific job duties does not exclude them from the position.

  • Provide clinical assistance and guidance; act as a resource for counselors regarding program procedures.
  • Assist counselors in developing client assessments and evaluations.
  • Keep current list of clients to staff based on DCF levels and 65D30. Maintain and monitor counselor's census, frequency of sessions, and client's pending discharge from treatment based on DCF requirements.
  • Provide medical staff with Medicaid documentation, spreadsheets, and weekly service activity logs. Complete work and execute proper documentation.
  • Gain knowledge and provide information through FARS documentation and network compliance.
  • Audit charts/program for DCF and CARF compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge with DEA compliance.
  • Develop and implement assigned tools, tasks, and policies at the direction of the Program Director.
  • Maintain records of staff attendance, absences, and work schedules.
  • Monitor and assist in training and education of other staff members, interns, and students.
  • In addition to carrying a small case load, provide individual, group, and family therapy and implement treatment plans.
  • Coordinate clinical staffing and team meetings.
  • Make referrals to appropriate resource agencies and provide feedback to those agencies.
  • Provide crisis intervention, when needed.
  • Conduct a variety of group clinical supervision meetings.
  • Submit reports as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 1-5 employees.
  • Directly supervises the counseling staff within the MAT Program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Agency's policies and any applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training new employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret journals, reports, and documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints. Ability to write and conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Knowledge of 12-step program, harm reduction, behavior modification, case management, addiction and COD. Willing to work with all ages from children through adulthood.

Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate or Masters degree with minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • License LMHC, LCSW or LMFT or CAP, CAPP, CCJAP required.
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screen prior to start date.

Job Type: Full-time (Exempt).

Schedule: - 40-hour week / Normal Business Hours.

Compensation: $55,000.00 USD per year.
