Job Description
We are looking for a CA licensed PhD/PsyD Clinical Psychologist at the Autism Center of Northern California. Salary will be based on your experience and number of assessments per in-clinic day. you supervise. You will mainly supervise PhD/PsyD practicum students and post-docs in autism assessment as an attending (teaching) psychologist.
This is for two half-time positions or one full-time position with an even split of in-person and remote hours. The full-time and one-half-time positions are open now, and the other half-time position will be available as late as June.
Our office is located at 870 Market St in San Francisco and you will need to come to the office once a week.
Responsibilities:
- You will supervise training psychologists who carry out a developmentally-based diagnostic evaluation in autism (>50% of our families have 1-1/2 to 5-year-old children) to lead a team of PhD/PsyD practicum trainees in four (for the half-time position) to eight (for the full-time position) new autism comprehensive diagnostic evaluations (CDEs) each week. Each clinic day is paired with a remote day for subsequent report work.
- You will work with senior academic autism clinicians on developmentally-based assessment and evidence-based treatment plans based on ACNC’s ED, Dr. Bryna Siegel’s autistic learning disabilities/ styles model.
- This could be an ideal position for a research-trained psychologist moving toward more of a clinical focus, for an early-stage clinician starting a not-yet-full private practice, or for a parent wanting to be home part-time. Additional work opportunities at ACNC include our parent training program (JumpStart), our upcoming therapeutic parent cooperative preschool (Early School), and our transition to adult independence services (LaunchPad).
Qualifications:
- Spanish or Cantonese fluency is a plus.
- Work is started as a 1099 contractor, transitioning to W-2 employment after 3 months of trial employment.
