Job Description
Minnesota North College is seeking to hire a fixed-term (one year), full-time Librarian who is energetic, proactive, knowledgeable, and an innovative person for a multi-college Librarian. The faculty librarian position focuses on reference, instructional services, digital and web services college-wide.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- With the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, the position leads the college-wide library operations to support faculty and student learning.
- Coordinate and supervise circulation, periodicals, inter-library loan, reserves, cataloging, and electronic resources.
- Work with faculty and staff to identify library materials to support classroom instruction.
- Assist individuals utilizing library technology resources.
- Coordinate information literacy programming for online and on-campus students.
- Design and lead in the technical implementation of instructional materials, such as online tutorials.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide learning opportunities using innovative technologies/services; and Initiates and collaborates on outreach activities.
Required Qualifications
Education Requirement
- Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent degree.

- Experience with a diverse learner population.
