Level 2 Diesel Mechanic

Badlands Tank Lines is seeking a full-time experienced, Level 2 Diesel Mechanic for our Pecos, TX location who values teamwork, safety, performance, integrity, and learning.

• Additional travel may be required as needed. #TX
• This position is dedicated to working on-site, independently, in the field, and on-call as needed.

· PAY: Based on experience and overtime is available.

· SCHEDULE: Day Shift with 5/2 and 14/7 Schedules Available

· 12 Hour Shifts (Longer Shifts May Be Required Depending On Work Load)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot truck and trailer light repairs and service.
• Inspect all trucks and trailers as needed.
• Perform all tire repairs and rotations as needed.
• Repair wheel seals and lights on equipment.
• Change valves on trailers as needed.
• Perform services in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and complete all related inspections as required.
• Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor on a regular basis.
• Ability to respond to all on-call requests made after normal business hours.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for the duration of the shift.

Qualifications:

• Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must have your own hand tools.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure and professionalism.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree [GED].
• 2+ years of experience in DOT service/repair.
• Prior experience with crude trailers a plus.
