Freedom, a national Direct Mail Company based in Milton, WI, is one of the largest, independently owned, privately held, direct mail marketing providers in the United States. Why Freedom? Because we are a leader in the direct mail space, investing in technology and resources to facilitate innovative ideas, and we are looking to add Manager to our team, overseeing our Lettershop operations.
Our Lettershop is where we insert printed material into envelopes and get them ready to mail. The Lettershop Manager oversees all aspects of the Lettershop including production, personnel, and equipment.
In this role you will:
- Ensure that production goals are met across multiple shifts by working closely with centralized scheduling, other department leaders, and shift supervisors, adjusting staffing levels and assignments as necessary
- Actively participate in daily production meetings to understand customer workflow and job requirements
- Directly supervise a team of shift supervisors and maintenance mechanics, including providing support, professional development opportunities and coaching as needed
- Evaluate current processes and make recommendations for improving productivity and streamlining the workflow through the department
- Partner with Human Resources to hire and onboard new employees, ensuring that all company policies are understood and followed
- Stay informed on new technology, regulations and procedures affecting the business
Education and Experience:
- Five years Management experience with working knowledge of Lettershop/Mail Operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Leadership skills to inspire respect and trust; motivates others to perform well
- Strong verbal, written and listening skills
- Excellent customer service skills; seeks to meet or exceed the quality of service and client's expectations
- Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to adjust quickly, in a fast-paced environment
- Must be focused on teamwork and be able to help resolve conflict and de-escalate tense situations
