Job description

Your role:
In your role as Lending Specialist, you will provide member loan support to all branches enabling them to focus on core responsibilities of their jobs. Fulfill necessary title work filing and tracking. The Lending Specialist will provide support to Lending Services in an overflow capacity as needed. Identify and monitor compliance related issues as they pertain to the overall lending functions of Oklahoma Central Credit Union.
In this role you will:

  • Deliver service to both internal and external members that are in alignment with the Credit Union's Service Standards.
  • Responsible for Real Estate loan funding and post-funding functions, including Receiving and auditing signed mortgage and consumer loan documents and ensuring they are compliant. Balances disbursement checks from funding/purchasing. The preparation of loan wires in a timely manner. Complete loan funding in the XP2 system. Send all loan proceeds to include payoff(s), mortgage filing, and state taxes to third-party and county. Maintain all loan operation logs for documentation tracking and follow-up. Complete second audits of loan files closed by other processors. Monitor and pay ongoing escrow payments: process payoff checks and file and track mortgage releases. Monitor the Loan Operations chat function and provide timely responses and support for the retail team.
  • Assist the Retail staff with XP loan application issues. Manage loan corrections for all departments and communicate with lobby staff and/or supervisor when compliance issues or errors are noted.
  • Responsible for Commercial loan processing, funding, and post-funding functions, including assisting the Commercial Services department with the processing of loan requests. Create an XP loan application. Create loan documentation in the LaserPro program. Verify all loan documentation received with loan documents focusing on the clear-to-close approval from originators. Post-closing document retrieval, audit signed loan documents, and build loan files to be scanned and filed.
  • Process loan extensions, subsequent action and manual skip pay forms. Process payments of sight drafts to dealerships. Process all third-party payoff request by obtaining required documentation to be delivered to Loan Specialist.
  • Procure liens on secured loans and track lien documentation to ensure secured collateral on all loans. Process insurance documents, letters of guarantee and payoff checks.
  • Obtain knowledge of all functions of Loan Operations duties to ensure appropriate coverage to create and maintain an effective team.
  • Understand and apply all Credit Union policies and procedures including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering regulations as they relate to the position.
  • Comply with all security guidelines related to physical and information security.

Requirements
Who we're looking for: You are detailed, analytical and enjoy problem-solving. You are a self-starter and are no stranger to a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines, and you are relentless in ensuring that work is completed through effective organization and task management. You are tactful and diplomatic, and able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Your current title may be:Lending Specialist, Member Services Representative, Admin, or Title Clerk
You'll need to have:
  • High school diploma, GED or higher
  • One or more years of similar or related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Even better if you have:
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Credit Union experience
