Job Description
Lending Services Associate Job Summary: Incumbent’s primary function is to provide knowledgeable support for loan and mortgage servicing, ensure proper payment of taxes and insurance as well as application of borrower payments. Assist in managing all aspects of the Consumer Lending Platform, including support to staff. Assist the annual escrow analysis and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting is accurate and timely. Ensure system compliance with all credit union policies and procedures, as well as all lending regulations.
Lending Services AssociatesQualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent with three (3) year of prior financial services experience either in accounts payable or lending related functions required. Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable three (3) year driving record preferred.
Essential Elements of the Job:
- Provide primary support of mortgage servicing processes:
- Ensure all borrower payments are promptly and correctly applied on a daily basis.
- Maintain all flood and homeowners’ insurance, as well as PMI insurance is paid in a timely manner.
- Update all data related to bill payment within the FICS mortgage servicing system.
- Process payoff statements and respond to mortgage servicing related requests.
- Maintain proper documentation and record retention as required in the department.
- Scanning and coping of documentation and reports as required.
- Assist the accurate and timely reporting of Annual PMI, Escrow Analysis and HMDA reports:
- Ensure that all bills are properly entered into borrower Tax and Insurance summary to ensure proper escrow calculations.
- Assist return of excess escrow funds to borrowers in a timely manner.
- Act as primary contact for borrower related questions resulting from statement documentation.
- Assist the AVP of Lending Services in the preparation and verification of the HMDA reporting for accuracy and submit in a timely manner.
- Provide support in all aspects of the Consumer Lending Platform:
- Provide assistance via phone to frontline staff.
- Work to resolve all issues/known problems with the Lending Platform in a timely manner.
- Provide training updates to frontline staff regarding new products and services within the Lending Platform.
- Maintain open relations with IT dept to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Maintain and require accountability with Lending Platform support.
- Conduct testing in the lending platform and core system to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Aid the title and indirect department as needed.
- Receive, audit and file incoming titles.
- Follow title releasing timelines for paid off loans.
- Quote lease payoffs.
- Release lease and retail titles with no assistance.
- Process Daily Dealer ACH transactions
