Philadelphia Law Firm Specializing in Insurance defense is looking to hire a Paralegal with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in Insurance Law. This is an onsite/hybrid position in either Center City, Philadelphia or Conshohocken PA
Pay: From $60-$65K per year- commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
- Obtain, review and analyze documents or any other relevant information.
- Review and analysis of case file materials.
- Preparation of defendant’s discovery responses and supplemental responses as the case progresses
- Analysis and summary of plaintiff’s discovery responses
- Preparation of non-party requests for production of documents and/or subpoenas in order to obtain documents.
- Preparation of pleadings including but not limited to: Motion to Compel, Motion to Extend Discovery, Notice to Take Deposition
- Preparation of medical chronologies
- Preparation of summaries of medical billing documents
- Contact potential experts and prepare files for expert review.
- Contact and interview potential witnesses.
- Analysis and summary of plaintiff/defendant/witness deposition testimony
- Preparation of evidentiary documentation to be utilized at trial or depositions.
- Background research on social media
- Familiarity with legal billing codes
- Manage court docket calendar.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of litigation experience
- Experience working for Defense Attorneys for Insurance claims a plus
- Must have experience billing hours
- Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
