Why does the job exist?
Position will exercise independent judgment to carry out a wide variety of administrative support functions for the Children's Court Attorney office to include preparing court pleadings and correspondence, scheduling meetings and court dates, maintaining case files, preparing fiscal documents, etc.
How does it get done?
Employees in this Role prepare correspondence and legal papers such as summons, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under the general direction and guidance of
an attorney.
Employees may schedule meetings and appointments and coordinate conference calls.
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or Equivalent with six (6) months of directly related clerical and/or secretarial experience utilizing legal terminology, procedures and documents. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements
Background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting: late hours and weekends work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Incumbent will cover large geographic area, therefore, extensive travel is required. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
