Legal Operations Specialist

The LCF Group (located in New Hyde Park) is an established MCA direct funder. We provide funding to small businesses in the form of a merchant cash advance. We purchase their future receivables and are repaid via daily ACH debits or a percentage of their credit card sales. We have been in business since 2011 and are growing rapidly. This is a fast paced, high-pressure position in a highly competitive industry. We are looking for an ambitious Legal Operations Specialist!

Legal Operations Specialist Job Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Assist in drafting/preparation of correspondence and legal documents.
• Finalize legal documents and file with Courts & Sheriff/Marshals Office
• Correspond with merchants, attorneys, banks, and the Courts via phone and email.
• Interface with banks, UCC lien recipients, turnover of funds.
• Provide support to collections department regarding UCC restraints, bank restraints, releases, and general collection efforts.
• Perform all paralegal activity related to arbitration.
• Review Deals prior to Funding to ensure state/federal compliance, and regularly interface with underwriting to provide support.
• Work with our team to analyze and investigate complex financial matters and prevent revenue loss.
• Assist with obtaining and then reviewing and evaluating financial records and any other relevant records, including, but not limited to, credit agency reports, credit card records, e-mail correspondence and records from social media, to develop evidence sufficient to assist the company achieve successful outcomes.
• Assist in inquiries to banks and other companies for financial and other records and then communicate with the representatives of those entities to ensure that all of the relevant documents have been delivered.
• Assist with Identifying and proceeds to achieve successful outcomes.
• Present findings in clear, coherent, accurate, and properly documented reports.
• Work independently to develop investigations into complex financial matters.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Legal Operations Specialist Qualifications:

• Specialized experience investigating fraudulent activity which includes planning, conducting, reviewing, managing, and participating in complex financial investigations a plus.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word – Outlook – Excel.
• Able to multi-task and thrive in a busy environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude.

This is a full-time position – Monday through Friday; 9 AM – 6 PM (EST).

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
