Requirements:
- Must be a current student pursuing a degree in Law, Music Business, Entertainment Law, or a related field
- Strong interest in the Entertainment industry and music business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of trademark, copyright, and corporation filings is a plus
- Previous internship or work experience in a law office or record label is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on various legal topics and industry trends
- Draft formal letters and legal documents under the supervision of the attorney
- Critique new music and provide feedback to clients
- Correspond with clients and publishers via email and phone
- Assist in filing trademarks, copyrights, and corporations
- Negotiate with publishers on behalf of clients
- Acquire digital licenses and handle publisher licenses
- Other duties as assigned by the attorney
This internship offers valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to work with a reputable attorney in the Entertainment industry. Interns will have the chance to build their resume and gain insight into the legal aspects of the music business. Flexible hours are available.
