Fikes - Legal Intern
Full-Time (40 hours/week) and in-office.
The Fikes Companies Legal team is looking for an Intern for Summer 2024. The student will be performing legal tasks that a paralegal or associate attorney would be performing in a law firm. Specifically, the student will:

• Review tenant leases and charges paid by CEFCO at stores with tenant sites to determine ability to charge CAM (Common Area Maintenance) back to tenants that have not been charging in the past and creation of chart with CAM charges available for each site.
• Audit of leases and creation of Master Tenant spreadsheet setting forth all relevant information from each lease.

What the Intern will gain? The Intern will learn how to review and analyze leases/contracts and provide a summary of the legal ramifications of the provisions in the contracts to the client/supervisor. This will assist the Intern in building or strengthening their project management skills.
What we are looking for:

• College graduate who is entering law school or just finished their first or second year of law school.

All Internships are paid and are located at The Fikes Companies HQ in Temple, TX.
