Job description

General Description:
The Summer Intern - Regulatory Compliance will work with the Regulatory & Compliance team.
This is a paid 10-week, full-time internship that will start on or around June 2024, with an end date in August 15, 2024.
Main accountabilities:
  • Read and become familiar with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Operations and Planning (693) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Reliability Standards
  • Conduct research to gather internal NERC evidence and documentation to meet all standards and requirements
  • Create workflows within compliance management system to support regulatory requirements
  • Assist with day-to-day NERC Compliance and documentation activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications:
  • Pursuing information technology or cyber security-based bachelor's degree
  • Analytical-minded
  • Detail-oriented
  • Well-organized
  • Strong written and oral communicator
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred
  • Competency in analytical problem solving, strong communication, and technology expertise preferred
  • Knowledge of data science and Linux based operating systems preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility:Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading:Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting:Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing:Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety:Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
