Job Description
In this role, you will provide expert legal guidance and support to our business operations in the Americas region. As Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in advising on a wide range of legal matters, including contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and risk management. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional to contribute to TOMRA's mission of driving the resource revolution forward.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to all legal issues worldwide, but mainly in the area of Contract law (Sales and Purchase); Antitrust & Competition law; IP law; Product Liability & Corporate Law.
  • Guide Managers and ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Draft and implement new standard templates and administer the existing templates.
  • Provide in-house legal training.
  • Liaise and manage external legal advisers.
  • Cooperate with the Group Compliance Officer.
  • Cooperate with the IP Portfolio Managers.
  • Monitor legal developments and take appropriate actions.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction or equivalent qualifications of other countries.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate transactions, commercial contracts, and/or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a law firm, manufacturing, technology, or environmental industry preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in spoken & written English, Spanish is a plus.
  • Minimal travel of 10% as needed
  • Ability to work in a remote setting

Location:
  • Candidates must be in the Sacramento, CA or Charlotte, NC area (Can work remotely)

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for the position is $145,000 - $160,000 depending on experience.
