Position Summary
This program is a 10-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with the Legal department. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities.
The Summer 2024 program will run June 3rd - August 9th, 2024. Virtual onboarding activities will also take place May 29th -31st, 2024.
This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in our Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.
The hourly rate is $25 per hour with 40 hours/ week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Please disregard the range listed.

CVS Health's Legal Department is seeking a Summer 2024 1L intern to support the Legal Department. This is a paid internship and the program is designed to provide the intern with hands-on training in a real-world environment of an in-house legal department. Assignments will vary and may include research and drafting memos, reviewing agreements and other legal documents, preparing for and attending client meetings with in-house counsel.
You will gain valuable work experience and participate in:

Examples of past internship projects include:
- Researching statutes, regulations and case law on federal, state and local levels

- Benchmarking across peers in our various industries for disclosure, corporate governance, and other legal best practices
- Reviewing and proposing edits to company policies and procedures based on changes in law and benchmarking results
- Preparing training materials for colleagues
- Presenting legal findings to other members of the legal team
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Education
- Enrolled in an ABA accredited law school pursuing a Juris Doctorate degree and 1L year completed by June 2024
