- Base Compensation: $35,000 - $37,000 per year (paid by the hour).

- Total Compensation package (including benefits): $41,000 - $43,000.
This is a fun place to work! DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers is looking for Legal Assistants (especially Spanish-speaking) in our West Wichita office location. Our Legal Assistants work in tandem with our attorneys to assist our clients with their personal injury cases. We focus on meeting the needs of our clients as they seek medical treatment as well as maximizing the value of their cases. Your day will include activities such as:
- Regular interactions with our clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers, by phone and in-person.
- Research and prepare documents to advocate for our clients.
- Draft settlement demand packages.
- Review our client's medical bills, records, and expenses.
Excellent telephone communication, ability to work with numbers, strong computer skills, attention to detail, and a friendly attitude are a must. We are also looking for people who enjoy learning new things on a daily basis.
No past legal experience necessary, just be willing to learn and bring a good attitude. If you are ambitious, hardworking and want to work in a positive environment this could be the job for you. This is a 40 hour a week, M-F. If your mom or dad still has to wake you up for school or work in the mornings, then this job is most likely not for you.
