Friedemann Goldberg Wargo Hess LLP, a well-established law firm in Santa Rosa has an immediate opening for an entry to mid-level Legal Assistant / Paralegal. Candidates should be dependable, punctual, friendly, highly organized, possess a strong work ethic, exhibit a professional demeanor, and project a positive attitude.

The position will assist with a multitude of tasks including, but not limited to:

• Working with attorneys, paralegals, and senior assistants in drafting, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents such as wills, trusts, and engagement letters.
• Organizing and maintaining electronic client files.
• Scheduling and coordinating meetings.
• Preparing and distributing correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• E-filing pleadings with the court.
• Communicating with potential clients to gather pertinent information.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performing administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing calendars, and handling mail.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 1 year's of law office experience. Knowledge of estate planning practice is preferred. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and other office technologies is ideal.

This is a full-time position with benefits and the opportunity to be part of a great team. Starting wage and benefit package:

• $21.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
