Legal Assistant And Intellectual Property Paralegal – Law Firm

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to handle a variety of responsibilities. The right candidate can work remotely with a flexible work schedule.

The position is currently 15-20 hours per week. Pay will be in the range of $20-$30, depending on experience. Prior experience as a Legal Assistant and experience in patent filings is a plus, but not required. A college degree is also a plus, but not required. Most responsibilities can be performed at home. However, the candidate must be located in or near Salt Lake City to handle periodic local tasks.

Responsibilities include:

- Filing documents with courts across the country;

- Filing and managing documents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office;

- Assisting and managing patent filings worldwide;

- Proofreading correspondence, patent applications, and other documents;

- Assisting with billing;

- Maintaining client files and correspondence with clients; and

- Accepting additional responsibilities as necessary.
