The Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the College of Education and Human Development seeks applications for a full-time non-tenure track Lecturer position to begin in Fall 2024. A regional comprehensive university, Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-SA) has approximately 7000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. Part of the statewide Texas A&M University System, the University is a Hispanic Serving Institution.
Quality performance will be expected in the area of teaching. The standard teaching load for a Lecturer is 5 courses per semester (5/5). Summer teaching assignments may be available for additional pay but are not guaranteed. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in general topics of education such as pedagogy, curriculum, classroom management, and content methods courses. Teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend classes.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Curriculum & Instruction or a closely related field
K-12 teacher certification with a minimum of 1 year of K-12 teaching experience
Experience working with all cultural populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Doctoral Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Curriculum & Instruction or a related field.
University teaching experience for a minimum of one (1) year
Experience with instructional technologies such as learning management systems ande-portfolios
