Sterling Realty Management is seeking professional individuals with excellent customer-oriented skills to work as Leasing Consultants at its apartment communities in Sandy Springs and Smyrna. These are busy, attractive and well-maintained, 200+ unit garden-style communities, providing you with an opportunity to work in a highly desirable environment while earning a competitive salary, plus excellent leasing and renewal commissions. - Work side-by-side with the onsite team to constantly assess and maintain the community for our residents, and prepare the property for tours by prospects. Curb and product appeal is always everyone’s responsibility!
- Learn the particulars about our competitors. It helps when you know at least as much as our most informed customers know about our competition!
- Become conversant about our community. You must be even more knowledgeable about our own product to assist prospects and existing residents!
- Empathize with our customers. Did you know that choosing a new home is the most emotional decision anyone makes? Prospects feel anxious about making the right decision when choosing their next residence. In addition, residents too can require assistance with issues regarding their apartment homes. They rely on you and our team to help them, which you will enjoy doing if you understand their frame of mind!
- Be a good listener. Your listening skills are our first and best way to determine a customer’s specific housing needs, allowing you to present an apartment home that most closely matches their needs. Likewise, you will need to be a good listener to understand the details of repair orders residents report to the leasing office.
- Treat every customer phone call and e-mail inquiry in a friendly and helpful manner. Every one of our team members has their own style, but this single characteristic is common to our most successful Leasing Consultants!
- Obtain complete contact information from our guests, and stay in touch with them to ensure they have all the information they need to make a decision. And demonstrate to customers that we really do care!
- Understand Fair Housing Law so you can properly qualify applicants with our online screening service to confirm they meet our minimum leasing standards.
- Accurately complete lease documents, and then work with our team to coordinate preparation of each new resident’s unit to provide for a smooth move-in process, to exceed their expectations.
Requirements:
- Maintain a positive, professional and helpful attitude with customers to provide them with an excellent customer service experience.
- Contribute to our friendly, cooperative and respectful workplace environment.
- Conduct frequent physical tours and inspections of the property, amenities and available apartment units.
- Communicate clearly both by spoken word and in writing.
- Use Microsoft Word and Outlook for correspondence, and possess at least some Excel skills.
- Have a working knowledge of basic math necessary.
- Possess the aptitude to learn and utilize our property management software (Real Page OneSite).
- Rotate with the leasing staff to work weekends. (Our leasing offices close on all major holidays. We pay a full 8-hour day when you work our shorter weekend days.)
Estimated compensation for this position is $19/hour, plus commissions of $200 per lease and $20 per renewal.
Position required applicants to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
