The Leasing Consultant reports to the Leasing Manager and they serve as the primary contact for residents and prospective residents looking to renew or engage in a new lease. The Leasing Consultant’s primary responsibilities include all elements related to leasing, including but not limited to social media outreach and posting, positively engaging the residents and prospective residents, welcoming walk-in traffic, showing available homes, creating new move-in documents, signing and closing leases. In addition, the Leasing Consultant will assist the Leasing Manager in coordinating resident activities, leasing activities, assisting with move-in, and maintaining excellent resident relations through superior customer service. The Leasing Consultant is also responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.
The superstar will also participate in the daily operations in the community, answer the telephone, respond to emails, follow up with all potential new residents, and post on all property social media sites, interact with social media.
- At least 6 months experience in the apartment, leasing, or hospitality industry preferred.
- Outgoing, gregarious personality & enthusiasm for marketing, leasing, and sales.
- Active knowledge of online Social Media and social presence avenues.
- Proficiency in converting phone calls to appointments and appointments to leases.
- Standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25lbs.
