Job Description
Leasing Agents are responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations of our communities. Vida Management Leasing Agents are experienced, self-motivated, and willing to be part of a team dedicated to making a difference.
What you will do
- Greet all residents, future residents, and internal team members in a professional and consistently positive manner.
- Discover prospects’ needs and apply product knowledge by communicating the features and benefits to match them with the perfect apartment home.
- Complete Fair Housing training prior to communicating with residents/prospects.
- Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants and help secure rental agreement.
- Recommend adjustments to rental rates by researching local markets and calculating costs to ensure fair and accurate pricing.
- Conduct market surveys and shop competitive properties.
- Successfully close new sales, lease apartments, and determine if prospective residents meet community qualifications.
- Advertise available properties using a variety of social media and promotional materials to help secure quick rentals of all properties.
- Participate in outreach marketing activities on a regular basis to obtain prospective residents.
- Assist in placing, removing/updating banners, balloons, bandit signs, flags, etc.
- Inspect models and available market ready units and communicate related service needs to Property Manager.
- Screen prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements.
- Communicate effectively to develop and maintain strong client and internal team relationships.
- Create a sense of urgency when making appointments for future residents to visit the community.
- Assist in planning resident functions. Attend functions and participate as host for any resident activities as directed by the Property Manager.
- Assist with any other office function that may be delegated by the property manager or other staff members.
Leasing Agent Required skills ad qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of leasing practices. Fair Housing, and basic real estate law.
- A minimum of 2 years of market rental leasing experience strongly preferred. Previous sales and customer service experience required.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Computer proficiency including, but not limited to, Microsoft office.
