Pay: $50/Hour
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to join our educational team in Orange, NJ. The LDTC will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and providing support for students with Learning Disabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create effective strategies that promote academic success for students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify Learning Disabilities and determine the appropriate level of support.
• Analyze assessment data and collaborate with school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).

Collaboration:

• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement effective instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure a holistic and supportive approach to students' educational needs.

Professional Development:

• Provide training and professional development for teachers and staff on best practices for supporting students with Learning Disabilities.
• Stay current with research and advancements in the field of special education to enhance knowledge and skills.

Advocacy:

• Advocate for students with Learning Disabilities to ensure they receive appropriate services and accommodations.
• Collaborate with parents and educators to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):

• Contribute to the development and review of IEPs for students with Learning Disabilities.
• Monitor and adjust IEPs based on ongoing assessment and progress monitoring.

Data Analysis:

• Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of interventions and strategies.
• Use data to make informed decisions and adjustments to support student success.

Qualifications:
Education:

• Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on Learning Disabilities or a related field.
• New Jersey State Certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in special education, with a focus on Learning Disabilities.
• Experience conducting assessments and developing IEPs.

Communication Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of Learning Disabilities, educational assessments, and evidence-based interventions.
• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing special education in New Jersey.

Technology Skills:

• Proficient in using educational technology and data management systems.
